Introduction to secondary user account migration
From 16 August 2026, we’re making it easier to manage multiple Independent Reserve logins. If you have a Personal account and also use a separate login to access another user’s account as a secondary/sub-user, you can now consolidate them.
Migrating your secondary/sub-user account transfers its access, roles and permissions to your Personal account. From then on, you will use a single login and switch between accounts. Your Personal account keeps its history, balances and security settings, and the old secondary/sub-user login stops working after migration.
Only migrate accounts you were invited to as a secondary/sub-user. Any account you own yourself, whether it’s a company, trust or SMSF account, remains a separate login. Support for consolidating company, trust, and SMSF accounts you own will be available in a future release.
Before you migrate: mobile access
Secondary/sub-user account access on mobile will be unavailable for approximately 3 weeks after migration. During that time, you’ll need to use the web portal to log in to migrated accounts. Your Personal account works on mobile as normal.
