Why do we request additional information?
At Independent Reserve, we are committed to maintaining a secure crypto trading platform that complies with regulations in the regions where we operate. This means that at certain times, we may request information to check your Source of Wealth.
The following is a list and description of documents that can help verify your source of wealth.
For Employment Income
- Payslips: Two recent payslips issued within the last 3 months
- Salary: Bank statements showing salary deposits from the past 3 months
- Tax assessment /Notice of assessment: or ATO or IRAS Notice of Assessment issued within the past year
- HR Letter: A company-issued letter on official letterhead, dated within the last three months, confirming your employment and salary.
For Business Income
- Bank Statements: Providing proof of payments, transaction amounts and business-related transfers
- Invoices: Business contracts or sales documents
- Distributions: Documentation of business distributions and withdrawals beyond salary
- Financial statements: Documentation reflecting the revenue generated by the business
For Savings or Investments
- Bank account statement: Detailing the transaction activities of the account in the last 3 months showing your savings on the account
- Investment account / Portfolio statement: Detailing holdings issued within the last 3 months
For Sale of Assets
- Property sale: Sales contract and bank statement showing funds received to bank account OR property sales tax statement with latest valuation documents.
- Share sale: Evidence of share sales and bank statement showing funds received to bank account OR statements from investment platforms/brokerage showing the sale of assets and the crediting of the asset value as fiat
- Portfolio statements: Detailing sale and purchase of portfolio
Crypto assets
- Transaction history from exchanges or external wallets, including your name.
Pension
- Documentation related to pension savings (refer to the Savings section).
Inheritance or Large Gifts
- A will or grant of probate indicating the amount you received.
- Trust agreements listing the trust name, beneficiary, and amount.
- Bank statements showing deposits from gifts or recurring transfers.
Bank Statement
- PDF statement: Please include your most recent statement in PDF format. Screenshots alone are not accepted.
- Transaction history: If your most recent transactions don’t appear on your statement, please accompany this with screenshots of your transaction history.
- Primary accounts: If your funds originate from another account of yours, please provide your other account statements too, to see where the funds originated from.
- These can be found in your online banking and is best sourced via a full screen on a computer rather than a mobile device.
Document Criteria
To ensure a smooth review process, submitted documents should adhere to these guidelines:
- The user’s name must be clearly visible.
- Please only provide documents issued within the previous 6 months.
