How to create a personal account with Independent Reserve Singapore

Creating a personal account with Independent Reserve Singapore is easy. It takes less than five minutes to sign up and begin trading cryptocurrency.

How to create a personal account

1. Go to Create Account or download the Android or iOS app
2. Enter a Username, Email, and Password and select Account type: Personal
3. Review our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and acknowledge you have read them.
4. Enter the confirmation code sent to your registered email.
5. Select your country of residence. Once you click “Singapore”, you may retrieve your personal details from SingPass.
6. Tap on “Retrieve my info with SingPass” to be redirected to the SingPass page.
7. Log in to your Singpass and tap “I Agree” to grant Independent Reserve access to your personal details.
8. Review your personal details and tap Next to proceed.
9. Confirm your address
10. Enter your Mobile number, and click “Send code” to verify your mobile number.
11. (Optional) Set up Two-factor authentication (2FA). Learn about 2FA.
12. Select your Account purpose in the drop-down menu and your Source of income.
13. ID documentation! Scan the QR Code with your mobile phone to scan your preferred ID. You can choose from the following options:
    1. NRIC (recommended) or
    2. PassportIf there are troubles scanning your ID, you can instead manually upload your documents.
14. Liveness check! Once your chosen ID has been uploaded, you’ll be prompted to take a selfie with your phone camera.
15. Upload a proof of address document

Note: 

• The proof of address must be less than 6 months old

• Phone bills and PO boxes are NOT accepted

• Accepted documents include bank statements, utility bills (Gas, water, rates) or Government-issued documents

Note: You will need to enable camera access for Independent Reserve to complete the verification process.

Verification submitted; what happens next?

1. After completing your identity verification, you will be required to take a Risk Awareness Quiz, as mandated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), before making your first deposit, trade, or withdrawal. The quiz ensures that you understand the key risks of trading cryptocurrency. These include significant price volatility, technological vulnerabilities, and the importance of secure custody practices.
   

   Note: By completing the quiz, you acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility to trade with informed judgment. You must answer all 5 questions correctly to pass and unlock full access to trading features. The quiz takes only a few minutes, and you have unlimited attempts. Learn more

2. Please allow 24 hours for our team to assess your application.
3. You will receive a support message if our verification team requires further documentation or clarification.
4. Once your personal account is fully verified, you will receive a confirmation email and you’ll be able to deposit, withdraw, and trade.
