What is Ondo (ONDO)?

ONDO is the governance token of Ondo Finance, a platform that brings real-world assets onto the blockchain. Ondo tokenises institutional-grade assets such as US Treasuries, stocks and ETFs so they can be held and traded on-chain.

Ondo Finance was founded in 2021, and the ONDO token became publicly tradable in January 2024. Holding ONDO lets you participate in governance by voting on decisions about how the protocol develops. The wider platform gives people on-chain access to traditional financial products that were once hard to reach, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance.
