What is USDC (USD Coin)?

USDC (USD Coin) is a fully collateralised stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. USDC is an open source ERC20 token powered by Ethereum that was bootstrapped by Circle and Coinbase. USD Coin’s or USDCs are issued by financial institutions that are regulated in the United States. These institutions maintain full reserves of the equivalent US dollar in a 1:1 ratio with USDC.

We do not commingle customer funds. We maintain complete segregation of all client assets to ensure that when you need to make a withdrawal you can.

Sole custodian

Independent Reserve is the sole custodian of all crypto assets held on our platform. Custody is managed in Australia and we do not use any third party custodians.
